We had another exciting week at P.S. 24. Walking through classrooms it is amazing to
see how far children have come in just a few weeks. Routines are in place and children are not
only participating, but leading classroom discussions.

Thursday, October 11th: Parent Advisory Committee Meeting @ 4:00 in room 135. Please send
recommended agenda items to Mr. Schwartz no later than Friday, October 5th.
●We have received many inquiries concerning the results of individual student test scores
on the 2017-18 NYS ELA & Math exams. Student scores will be available for parents by the
end of this week, via the NYC Schools Account (NYCSA). For information on NYCSA registration,
see the NYC Schools Account page or contact Florence Byrne at Fbyrne@schools.nyc.gov..
●Busing: Please be aware that children cannot take the bus to school or home from
school unless they are signed up. If you wish to sign your child up please come to the
main office and see Donna Wilborne or email Nina Amster at
(firstname.lastname@example.org). Once signed up if you want your child to take the bus
home, you must provide this information in writing to the teacher. Without the information
in writing we cannot put a child on the bus even if they are signed up. Thank you for your
understanding in ensuring all children get home safely.
